Our mission is to produce baby carriers that benefit both your baby and our environment. For this reason, we manufacture all of our products sustainably and regionally in Germany - specifically in Upper Lusatia. At Storchenwiege, we are committed to supporting and strengthening the textile industry in Germany.
Local & Qualitative
Unlike many brands that move their production to Asia, we remain true to our homeland. We are proud that we are one of the few brands that have their slings 100% manufactured in Germany. Our weaving and sewing mills are located directly in Saxony, where highly qualified specialists produce each sling with passion and care. By using high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, we guarantee products of the highest quality and durability.
Linen weaving in Upper Lusatia
Upper Lusatia has a long tradition of linen weaving. From the middle of the 16th century, the half-timbered houses typical of the region were built, in which linen weaving families operated their hand looms. With industrialization, factory weaving mills developed that used mechanical looms. Today there are still a few weaving mills that continue this centuries-old tradition.
A visit to the beautiful Upper Lusatia is worthwhile at any time of year. Wide meadows, picturesque mountains and dreamy places invite you to cycle, hike and experience.
