Our sustainability initiatives
Planting trees together
For every baby carrier sold, we plant trees with Wilderness International to protect valuable natural areas. Over 10,000 square meters of rainforest have already been preserved.
Regional production
Our products are manufactured in Upper Lusatia. Short transport routes reduce CO2 emissions and secure jobs in the German textile industry.
Social Responsibility
We work with the Gut Gamig workshop for people with disabilities, which offers fair work opportunities to people with disabilities and thus promotes social inclusion.

Wilderness International image film
At Storchenwiege, we not only care about a safe start in life, but also about the future of our planet. Since 2014, we have been supporting Wilderness International in the fight to protect the last untouched natural areas. The non-profit foundation from Dresden legally acquires natural habitats worldwide in order to permanently protect them from destruction.
These areas are among the most species-rich ecosystems on earth and play a key role in storing CO₂. Once cleared, these unique rainforests can never return to their original state. Therefore, Wilderness International not only carries out protection measures, but also promotes environmental education and school projects to raise awareness of nature conservation.
Since the beginning of our cooperation, over 10,000 square meters of rainforest have been secured and more than 600 tons of CO₂ have been bound. Every order in our online shop helps to protect one square meter of this precious nature. In the future, we will continue to work together with Wilderness International to preserve the diversity and beauty of our forests.
