Storchenwiege - Social Commitment
At present, around 120 mentally ill people live and work on the Gamig estate near Dresden. They are no longer able to cope with the demands of everyday life on their own, but who can get their lives back under control in the security of a community, are respected in their dignity and are supported and strengthened in their opportunities for development.
Gut Gamig eV Rehabilitation and Meeting Places
Since 2005, we have been supporting the rehabilitation and meeting centers Gut Gamig eV with fabric scraps that arise during the production of Storchenwiege® products.
Support for social projects: Creative use of fabric scraps at Gut Gamig eV
In addition to a social therapeutic residential facility, the association also runs the Gamiger workshops, which offer technical and agricultural work. In the tailor shop, our fabric scraps are processed into patchwork blankets and cushion covers, as well as grain pillows.
We are happy to be involved with Gut Gamig eV and are pleased to be able to support the association’s goals.
